Florida Travel Tip- Siesta Key Drum Circle

Every Sunday about an hour before sunset people of all ages gather together on Siesta Key Beach just south of the mainĀ pavilionĀ for the weekly drum circle. Everyone is there. Families, tourists, belly dancers, hippies of all ages, and I’ve even seen a couple fire dancers. Over the years it has grown quite a bit and on Sundays with nice weather there can be a couple hundred people out there. It is really something fun to do when you are visiting the area. It is free and you can bring some blankets and chairs, watch the sunset, and enjoy some time out on the beach. (Personally, I think this is the best time to be out on the beach in Florida!) This is one of my favorite things to do when I am home visiting, and certainly something I hope continues for years to come.
