Europe Travel Tips, Vienna

I feel as though this city might get over looked sometimes by travelers coming to Europe. Rome, London, Paris, and Amsterdam seem to always be high on people’s lists of places to visit when they are trekking around this region of the world, and I felt it only fair to write a little something about my favorite bigger European city, Vienna.  Vienna is the capitol and largest city of Austria. It is a majestic city with wide streets and impressive architecture that managed to not be destroyed during WWII.  Vienna has effortlessly combined old and new to create one of Europe’s most interesting cities. (In my opinion at least)

Austria Travel Tips- Saalbach-Hinterglemm

I’ve recently spent some time in the small Austrian ski village of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, and dispite (hold on to you seats) I am not a skier or snowboarder, I really enjoyed my time there. Europe Travel Tips- Cinque Terre, Italy

If you are planning a trip to Italy, in my opinion, this should certainly be one of your stops. Cinque Terre is an area in the North of Italy, between Genoa and Pisa, made up of 5 villages that are suspended between land and sea on the cliffs above the Mediterranean. Europe Travel Tips- San Sebastian, Spain

Sun, sand, surf, tapas…what more does a person need? In my opinion, not much. I suppose this is why the picturesque city of San Sebastian is one of  my very favorite spots! Located in the heart of the Basque area of Spain, this place has it all. If you are looking for a place to spend a long weekend, you might want to consider putting this one on your list. San Sebastian is one of those small/big cities in my opinion. Even though it isn’t very big (about 185,000 people live there), it really has a lot to offer. There are beautiful beaches, great surf, and a lively culture.

Europe’s largest (hidden) Waterfalls

Ok, so they are not exactly hidden, but no one here seems to have heard of this natural wonder just 2 hours from Munich or 1 1/2 hours from Salzburg. Krimml Waterfalls are located in Austria in between Innsbruck and Salzburg. The 1,200 foot (380 meter) high set of waterfalls are made up of three stages, and are quite a beautiful site. It really makes a great day trip from Munich, Innsbruck, or Salzburg.
